Frequently asked questions
How do I know if you can repair my unit?
Search your part number on the site — catalog items show pricing instantly. Not listed? Send it through the quote form; a technician confirms serviceability free before you ship anything. The catalog is our highest-volume work, not the limit of the bench.
How does pricing work?
Two tracks. Flat-price repairs (most HMIs, PLC power supplies) are purchasable online at the published price — parts, labor, and testing included. Evaluation-track repairs (servo drives, VFDs, PLC modules, CNC boards) get a free bench evaluation and a firm quote you approve before any work. Published "typical" ranges on those pages come from real market data.
What if my unit can't be repaired?
Flat-price orders: full refund of the repair price, less return shipping. Evaluation-track units: you pay nothing at all. If a flat-price unit tests fully functional (no fault found), a $95 test-and-verify fee applies and the balance refunds.
How long does it take?
Standard bench time is 3–5 business days from the day your unit arrives. Rush (+$149) is 1–2 business days; emergency (+$399) is a same/next-day attempt — contact us before buying emergency so we confirm bench availability. Shipping time on each end is additive.
Where do I ship my unit?
PO Box 120241, Arlington, TX 76012 (USPS) — or 1009 Oakwood Ln # 120241, Arlington, TX 76012 (UPS/FedEx). Always get an RMA first (instant, online) and write it on the box — RMA'd units check in the same day they arrive.
Will my program / application / parameters survive?
Yes. HMI applications live in flash or memory cards that physical repairs don't touch; drive parameters typically live in the CNC or protected drive memory. Where a platform has special handling (Indramat firmware modules, battery-backed CNC boards), we handle it correctly and say so on the service page.
What does the 24-month warranty cover?
The work we performed and the parts we installed, for 24 months. Same fault returns → repaired free, return shipping on us. External events (surge, water, mechanical damage, upstream failures) are excluded — the warranty page states everything in plain language.
Do you offer rush service for a machine that's down right now?
Yes — that's exactly what the rush and emergency tiers exist for. Overnight the unit, mark it machine-down, and it hits the bench first. See the rush page for the fastest-path checklist.
Can you repair obsolete equipment the manufacturer no longer supports?
That's our specialty. PanelView Plus 6, PLC-5, SLC 500, Simodrive 611, Indramat, legacy FANUC — discontinued platforms are where repair is often the only like-for-like option, and the failures use components that remain available.
Do you take purchase orders / net terms?
POs are accepted through the commercial-account program (net terms after approval). Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay work for everyone at checkout via Square.
Are you an authorized service center for these brands?
No — we are an independent repair lab, and we say so plainly. Manufacturer names appear only to identify the equipment we service. Independence is what lets us keep servicing hardware after the OEM support window closes.
What don't you repair?
Honestly declined at launch: VFDs over 25 HP, large Simodrive infeed modules, safety-rated controllers (GuardLogix class), and most dead PLC CPUs (no economic component-repair path exists — we test-and-verify those instead). We publish the boundaries rather than under-test.
